The matboard has cotton rag manuscript paper, illuminated with calligraphy. Mat depicting music by nine famous stride piano players, Art Tatum, James P. Johnson, Duke Ellington, Erroll Garner, Bud Powell, Phineas Newborn Jr., Oscar Peterson, Fats Waller, Thelonious Monk.

48 X 36 Oil on canvas. Miles Davis represents the world of jazzz in one note. He's on fire flushed with red heat. Oh Oh ha ha.. The woman brings home Miles' habit of playing with his back to the audience. This piece depicts Miles when he was playing with the Monk; straight ahead with - hard hitting musicians, but the Monk is not in the piece. Va Va Va Miles was a master of Space / silence / hesitation / pause. He had always been at the Vanguard of the Jazz movement.
